Meet the Medici family
Roberto's Italian Deli has been run by the Medici family for over 50 years. It was managed by Roberto and Marina in 1960, a year after they had arrived in the UK from Tuscany, Italy.
They decided to retire in 1990 when their son Giovanni took over with his wife Maria. Along with their two children Sophia and Alex, they ensure that Roberto's offers an exemplary service.
In 2012, Roberto's was awarded Deli of the Year. The following year Roberto's obtained the Catering Gold Star as the Regional Winner of Countryside, local food category.
Roberto's star continues to shine. Giovanni said of the awards:"I want nothing more than to make my family proud and enjoy our incredible heritage. This gives us an amazing opportunity to give back to this community that have been so loyal to us."
